Over the past six years of mixed ownership reform, NHI has been using technology as the sail and innovation as the propeller, continuously striving to upgrade traditional industries and make breakthroughs in emerging fields. They have launched a large number of breakthrough products similar to microwave rock breaking boring machines, reshaping the industry landscape with independent and controllable core technologies, and moving towards a new height of high-quality development.
After 6 years of mixed ownership reform, NHI has entered a fast track of innovative development, and a series of excellent products have won the opportunity for high-quality development of the enterprise.
In May 2023, China's first 100% domestically produced TBM was born in Shenyang. During this period, more than 40 upstream and downstream enterprises jointly overcame the bottleneck technologies such as main bearings, fully realizing the independent manufacturing of TBM. This breakthrough not only fills the domestic gap, but also rewrites the rules of underground engineering equipment with a huge volume of 6.44 meters in diameter; In September 2023, China's first full section potassium salt mining machine completed factory acceptance, achieving a continuous mining capacity of 1600 tons/hour and injecting new momentum into strategic resource development; In 2024, the "Endeavour" TBM set a world record for the longest single machine excavation of 26.5 kilometers deep in the Mount Tianshan; The EQC5970 mining tunneling machine refreshes the efficiency of tunnel excavation at a speed of 600 meters per month.
Having achieved multiple industry firsts, it has established its position in the industry and shone with the glory of being a ' National Heavy Equipment'.
Behind filling the domestic gap is the rapid leap in comprehensive technical strength.
In 2024, the key technology and complete equipment for conveying and mixing anti-seepage soil materials for the ultra-high earth and rock dam of Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station, independently designed and developed by NHI, completed the national scientific and technological achievement evaluation. In the automatic mixing system project of Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station, NHI has overcome multiple technical difficulties. The system adopts advanced intelligent control technology to achieve precise control of concrete mix proportion, with an error controlled within ± 1%. Through independently developed intelligent scheduling algorithms, the system can automatically adjust the mixing ratio according to construction requirements, greatly improving construction efficiency. This project has overcome a series of major technological problems, improved the overall scientific research and innovation level of the enterprise, and the core technology of the research results has independent intellectual property rights. It has been authorized with 11 invention patents and led the preparation of 1 group standard. The successful operation of this project has provided valuable experience for engineering construction in similar environments and has become a new benchmark for bulk material handling equipment.
After 6 years of mixed ownership reform, 137 major scientific research projects of NHI have led to 85 patent breakthroughs and the construction of a multidimensional technology matrix. Multiple innovative achievements rank first in the industry, demonstrating corporate responsibility and building strong advantages for development.
In March 2024, NHI won the bid for the core equipment of the "Ultra Large Deep Engineering Disaster Physical Simulation Facility" project at Northeastern University, and will produce a "5m × 5m × 5m Geological Model Long term Heavy Load Loading System" for the project.
Deep sea, deep earth, and deep space exploration is an important component of the national science and technology innovation strategy, and is a major scientific and technological project with strategic, fundamental, forward-looking, and critical roles. Participating in it marks a new height in the technological strength of NHI.
In the same year, NHI was awarded the title of provincial-level intelligent factory in Liaoning Province. Entering the digital factory of NHI, the seamless integration of ERP, MES, and PLM systems enables intelligent control of the entire process from design to delivery, resulting in a 25% increase in production efficiency.
In the same year, NHI and research institutes jointly established a national level laboratory, and the enterprise made rapid strides from traditional manufacturing to intelligent creation. By integrating into the national development strategy and keeping pace with the wave of technological development, NHI has entered a new stage of development.
